Today I’ll explain what it is and why I use it. In the last 2/3 years, I started submitting photos to contests for wedding photographers. By “contest” I mean a competition or a challenge. I participated just for fun, to understand if what I was creating was beautiful only to me or if the rest of the world could appreciate it. Gradually, I received some awards and since then, couples have started asking me to win with the photos taken at their weddings. Unfortunately, I don’t personally choose which photo to award or not. I’m registered on several websites, but the one I follow most diligently is MyWed. MyWed is an association that boasts over 60k wedding photographers from all over the world. The advantage I’ve had from joining sites like MyWed has undoubtedly been finding always new stimuli, inspiration, and ideas. Being able to see and analyze the work of colleagues is a huge stimulus for my creativity, while being able to participate in contests creates a healthy competition that motivates me to do more and more.
